which witch is which?

Friday, February 9th, 2007

inspired by brian greene’s birthday (one of the more lucid explanations of string theory, or anything from the world of physics), today i thought about a theory of syntax based on string theory.  then i thought that’d be silly.  i wrote a poem about my mental exercise.  that’s the fun part.

i believe yesterday was the annivarsary of the salem witch trials.  it’s a sad point in a nation’s history when people feel they have to take out their aggressions on women because of a few black cats, eyes of newt, and a massive superstition about the letter A.

thanks to the writer’s almanac, which provides (lake) superior writing prompts!

so, back to me.  yes, this blog is all about me and my silly antics, especially the mundane ones.

i need to go to the gym badly.  i ate my way across asia over the past few days — thai, korean, japanese, indian, and mongolian.  that makes quite a weekend’s feast.  i’ve a-gotta lay off eating out.  i need to make more of my own food.  ugh, i need to stop being so busy.

i think the semester’s finally hit high gear; items are coming due, and i’m still acclima– climate changing — along with it.  finishing up a final report, then back to finishing up the slides for a major presentation, then back to my homework and back the work as i know it.

took handsome for a walk with the other two dogs last night — our first walk in over a week, likely two.

so tired i’m falling asleep at hte keybo
