ricardo montalban passed away today. this is a strange synergy with our completion of the first season of fantasy island , and our synchronizing our facebook profile pictures… also recently on the screen, star trek ii, where he played khan, kirk’s archnemesis. i had just read the other day that he was 88 and wheelchair-bound, having had his back finally go out fifty years after an accident involving a horse while filming a movie.
we’d been considering having a fantasy island party, where all the guests submit their fantasies (some version we would legally fulfill) and we fulfill it in mysterious way that makes them happy for what they have. what the hey, it’s worth the thought and effort.
now it looks like it’s time to have a tribute to ricardo party instead. strange synergies once again going on.
