2007: Backroom Sessions

This collection was recorded over two days in November 2007.  Howlingmime laid down drums, mostly as open-ended jams, then the next night played bass over the top.  In most cases, he didn’t even hear the recording before the bass layer.  The idea was to capture his gut reactions to the music.

Though not nearly production ready given the ad-hoc nature of the project, these files are by no means intended to be a demonstration of completed compositions, nor are they intended to be an accurate document of Howlingmime’s instrument skills, if only to inspire confidence in what he could do in two evenings after working a full day at his job each day.  Whew!  Makes me tired just thinking of it now…
